Police Sweep Yucca Street

November 3, 2007, Saturday night about 22:00

There seemed to be about a dozen LAPD cars patrolling and policing this short block of Yucca beside Highland Ave and right smack in front of the Hubris. What could be responsible for this much-needed, but long delayed attention? Don’t worry! I shan’t delude myself into thinking it was this little blog!

NO! It was the clout of the Developers (aka Scum of the Earth) who don’t want any undesirables around when they start showing their million dollar pressed wood boxes. Don’t worry, The Hubris, because I will still be next door; and of course, someone else is going to start digging across the street from YOU, creating an eyesore of major proportions.

It will look something like this.

Thanks for coming by Russell’s Hollyblog! Until next time (if I haven’t been thrown into a tree shredder) I wish you all peace before the upcoming Season of HyperCapitalism.

About Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Natasha, Maxwell, Tigger and Nigel.
