See my pretty picture!

I love this photograph. I took it a few days ago. I love the way the two Pacific Theater’s towers are aligned with the crane. To the unknowing eye, one might even think they were parts of the same unit. The splash of greenery in the lower right corner gives balance and adds mystery to this composition. At the risk of sounding like a kind 8th grade art teacher, I love the colors and composition. I am giving myself an A+ for this work. It’s the hawk that makes this photograph a success. If I could choose any animal that I could be, it would be the hawk. Then I wouldn’t be afraid of heights!

I just can’t stop myself!

About Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Natasha, Maxwell, Tigger and Nigel.
