Johnny Grant: In Memorium

While the management of the Roosevelt Hotel merrily pack up Johnny Grant’s possessions, I would like to say a few words about the world’s biggest schill and free-loader. There was no developer rich enough for this creep. No building big and ugly enough. This man who dubbed himself Mayor of Hollywood expressed nothing but contempt for the people who actually live here. Living in the lap of luxury without paying a penny must have been nice, Johnny, but now the scythe has cut you down and you’re no better than anyone else anymore. So consider this a final “Screw you!” Once your buddy on the left there is removed from the office that HE stole, I’ve got a feeling things are going start getting better all over the country. Alas, thanks to corporate schills like you, it’s too late for Hollywood.

Those of you who are waiting for a fine Sunday rant aren’t going to be disappointed. The clip below starts off a little slow at first, but it warms up quickly. Enjoy!

About Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Natasha, Maxwell, Tigger and Nigel.
