Banana grows

I don’t know who the artist is who constructed this piece. It is the most blantatly derivative piece that I’ve ever seen. I don’t suppose anyone was around for the release of the album, Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones? I had to say it, even though it is so obvious. That banana belongs on a float for Gay Pride Day, gliding its phalic self down Santa Monica Blvd.

From Watch yer back!

Time for a bit of a stroll. It’s the infamous corner of Hollywood and Vine. Can you believe that lawyer/lover of Joan Crawford went out on that scary tiny spot outside his top floor window? Now that’s power! Forgive my butchery of English when I forget the word architect. But sometimes I just get so riled up. Watch and see, won’t you, dear?

About Russell Smith

I was born at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. I find inspiration in the lives of so many people from Joan of Arc to Oscar Wilde. While my primary avocation is photography, I also enjoy philosophy, theology and most of all, history. My beloved wife, Robin Anne Smith, who passed away in 2013 is also an inspiration to me. My beloved partner, Dana is also a great support and inspiration to me. I'd be remiss if I did not mention my cats: Natasha, Maxwell, Tigger and Nigel.
